As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork, demolition, and utilities. Your role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of the scope and requirements. You'll collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and reliable bids. Key responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs, identifying cost efficiencies, and presenting estimates to stakeholders.
-Review and analyze construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
-Prepare detailed proposals for projects including cost estimates, project timelines, and resource requirements.
-Analyze and interpret construction documents to identify potential project risks and develop appropriate contingency plans.
-Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
-Maintain knowledge of current construction industry trends and best practices to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
-Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
-Proficient in estimating software (such as HCSS HeavyBid) and Microsoft Office.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Salary range $120K - $150K
