Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with sealing products or molded rubber components. This role will work with the manufacturing team in developing and improving sealing products from conception through production, ensuring quality and efficiency in the design and production process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of sealing products, translating customer requirements into functional product designs.
Oversee mold design efforts, working closely with mold suppliers to review and approve molds, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service, sales, and engineering teams to develop and implement product solutions that meet customer requirements.
Create and refine engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Support the project management process by tracking project milestones, managing scope, and reporting progress to senior management.
Participate in the implementation of engineering designs on the manufacturing floor, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
Support the quality assurance team by assisting with non-conformance documentation, identifying root causes, and proposing engineering solutions.
Conduct product and material research to support the development of new products and improve existing ones, working with advanced materials and manufacturing techniques.
Utilize company ERP software to aid in production planning and material selection, ensuring seamless integration of engineering designs into manufacturing processes
