Payroll Clerk
Position Overview
The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing payroll tasks to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a solid understanding of tax regulations and payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry in payroll software
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage time and attendance systems to track employee hours accurately
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits and deductions
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience in payroll processing or a related role
- Familiarity with tax regulations and payroll best practices
- Proficient in payroll software and time and attendance systems
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Good communication skills for addressing employee inquiries
